Deliverance Church Intl. Eastleigh has always opened its doors to the community which extends to the neighboring slums mainly Mathare and Majengo. Prior to the birth of Love In Deed (LID), the church was involved in this ministry -taking care of many who were living on the streets. They were many who were reformed and now live out their God-given purposes with their families.
It gives me joy to see LID take up and officially run an organization which attends to the needs of those who are homeless in the surrounding. The co-founders, Joseph Mwanga, Boniface Muthoni and the rest are committed members of the church and I can testify of their faithful service in the church and at LID.
They do not earn a salary from the organization therefore, they go into their pockets to support the activities and pay the staff. They are also supported by partners and the church leading by providing space for the office and the outreach activities, human resource through volunteers and financial resource. This is the true religion that Christ talks about, taking care of the orphans and the vulnerable in the society. I have witnessed the transformative power of GOD in the lives of the beneficiaries of LID and I believe you too have something to offer to support LID.
